USS Lexington is an Essex-class aircraft carrier built during World War II and saw extensive service through the Pacific War. She then became a training carrier until being decommissioned in 1991. She is now a museum and a National Historic Landmark. During her service she was nicknamed "The Blue Ghost".
Visitors to the ship have reported seeing the apparition of a young sailor aged about 20 years old in the engine room. It has been claimed that the ghost has even conversed with some guests, who have believed him to be a guide.
Some believe the ghost to be one of the sailors killed during the time in which the ship saw service in WW2.
